Let's All Clean-up Crazy-Town!!

IMPRESSIVE TURN-OUT FOR MAYOR'S CLEAN-UP INITIATIVE
There was a massive turn-out on Saturday for the Mayor's "Clean-up, Fix-up, Beautify" initiative to clean up the east end of Portsmouth. We're certain this intrepid crew will have that part of town looking as tidy as the Wayne Nichols property by...well, uh, ... never mind.

(PDT 5/4/10)

We believe that the excellent turnout was generated by the mayor's intensive on-line public relations effort via the city's website.
We especially like the "yada yada" part. Way to go, Mayor. We believe the turn out could have been much higher if the CAVE people weren't too lazy and/or fat to get off their rear ends and do something positive for the city, and if the mayor had not alienated
the fire department
the police department
city council the traffic committee
the city auditor
the city solicitor
the judges
and the majority of the citizens of the city of Portsmouth.
Jeff Peck sent his apologies for not participating in the event. He thought the mayor said "Clean-up Green-up" and he headed for Kentucky as soon as he got off on Friday.

  1. I guess none of her 20 facebook friends showed up either.
I wonder how her $2,000,000 suit against the city is going. I wonder how the defamation/slander suit against her is coming along too.
Does anyone really believe she is just ignoring the obvious lack of co-operation from everyone she has to depend on help from? Does anyone really want to be around her highness?
Personally, I wonder what planet she was thrown off and why did she have to land here to torment the people of Portsmouth......

  4. Yes. We saw the article in the Times this morning where she is trying to blame city council. Do think her blame game will work? Will council give in and add a position to the budget for the amazing Mr. Peck? Will Duncan and Saez's laywer have to open a branch office in Portsmouth? We shall see. The soap opera continues.

  5. I don't blame them. I don't blame council, either. This is squarely on her shoulders and I think she should be sued personally for the fines. Take her house, take her car- take it all. The city taxpayers should not have to pay for her willful disregard for EPA guidelines.

  6. Put the blame where the blame belongs.
Jane has been a detriment since the very first council meeting where she started off her short tenure by threatening the council members with arrest. It takes a real idiot to use that kind of tactic, especially as a new "boss". It leaves such a wonderful feeling of co-operative effort and common focus.
Take everything but include any potential proceeds gained by her own $2,000,000 suit against Portsmouth.
Malfeasance in office is on the horizon with the first $10,000 EPA fine affording the people of Portsmouth the ability of immediate removal from office. That would save the city $20,000 of the $30,000 for a special election recall process. What a bargain, 66% off...... butt will she leave the toilet?
It would also save me the $5 for the privilege of signing the recall petition.....

  7. I was born and raised in Portsmouth, but have not lived there for awhile. I may have to move back just so I can help with the recall. Is there a specific amount of time I would have to live there? Or would I have had to have voted in that particular election to be eligible?
