  3. I guess no one is allowed to voice their opinion on this site if it differs from your own.
At least on other portsmouth web pages you can post your opnion even if the moderator does not agree with you....
How long will your page last with only the same 2 people posting on here?
    Freedom of Speech my ass....

  5. If you like the other sites so much, post over there. As far as "how long will we last" ...you're reading P-Town, aren't you? Freedom of speech means: it's our blog, we print what we want. If you don't like it, start your own.

  6. Don't you believe any of that freedom of speech stuff. Joe "Moe" Ferguson will delete your post in a heartbeat if he doesn't agree with it. You keep dreamin', sport.

  7. Is it just me or does everyone else see her royal highness seems to be cracking under pressure? You see, let's recap......She comes into office day one with the remodelers following her through the door. They immediately begin working on renovations without the proper authorization. But, she knows how governemnt is supposed to work. She is too good to sit her royal behind on the same seat as Jim Kalb, so she replaces the toilet, too. When someone takes a picture of her royal additions, she orders the police Chief to waste valuable police resources investigating the alleged crime?????

Next, she fires every city worker within her capabilities that has ever told her no you can't do that because it is illegal or that is not the proper procedures to follow. She even stooped so low to call three of them criminals. She then hires one back with a pay raise because she violated EPA regulations, not to mention slandered several of them. One has already filed suit and I suspect the others are pending. Oh by the way, did I mention that she believes a convicted felon was the VICTIM????

Where were we? To this day, the City of Portsmouth is still not in compliance with EPA regulations. But, she has said the EPA is wrong?????

Who could forget USEC? She thinks it should be a nature preserve or something crazy. Then she car pools with an anti-nuclear activist to the very meeting that she votes against the resolution of support. Then, she apologizes for not knowing what she voted against??? Is that like many of her original supporters voted for her, not knowing what they were getting? Where would this region be without the support and jobs provided by USEC over the last 40 years???

ODOT???? They were misguided in their study...the lights are warranted according to the resident expert herself. All those Engineers with degrees are wrong. The Police CHief who is the traffic safety expert in City government is wrong, too.

Awww, the Police Chief is an interesting topic. You see, after council authorized the acceptance of grants to hire Police officers, she tried to ax that. Even admitted to saying it and the Chief hearing her say it. But adds, he heard it but she didn't mean it. What the hell kind of statement is that???? Back to the lights.......rumor has it after placing a gag order on the top brass of the police department, the traffic committee adjourns the meeting. Her response is that she never told the Police Chief he could not present his material to the committee. Just another misunderstanding .......right???? You see, if her newly hired, highly qualified Commisioner of Public Service was qualified, they would have known you couldn't reinstall unwarranted lights by flipping the switch and not even informing anybody until after it was done. Now she says she doesn't want to have city workers out in cold weather to take them down. How did they brave winter weather when they put them back up??

While she has been ever so busy correcting her mistakes, or at least some of the many she is making, the City still does not have an operating budget. Now, I know Jim Kalb wasn't the brightest fellow, but he never went into March without an operating budget!!! Perhaps he was slow , but at least he presented one before the spring flowers blossomed.

We all know that she doesn't agree with the benefits that City workers have been awarded by arbitrators in the past. She quoted that quite extensively in the local newspaper. My sources tell me that she is demanding that the City Unions open their contracts and give up their benefits. I would say that is about as likely as her surviving a recall.
So, back to the cracks in the armor. I hear from my sources that she is cracking under pressure and is lashing out at employees. [Statement deleted by moderator] She will not make it past the end of March without go over the edge. She is off to a mighty fine start........
