Attention: P-Town Fans Invited!! (UPDATED 2/2/10)

Conversation with the Mayor A Community Meeting with Mayor Jane Murray Sat., Jan. 30th at 1:00 pm Christ United Methodist Church 5731 Gallia Street, Sciotoville (across from East High School)
How 'bout it fans? Anyone want to attend Jane Murray's "Community Meeting"?
Do any of you P-Towners have any good questions for her honor? Feel free to share by leaving a comment below.
Special note to the Irish Mob. Keep it clean, guys. ;)
UPDATE:
Murray's meeting was a dud. Other than Mayor Murray and her cronies (Councilman Rich Noel and disgraced former councilman Harold Daub) only five people attended, including former Wastewater Director Rick Duncan and his uncle who lives in Sciotoville. Murray and Noel threatened to call the police if Duncan didn't leave. Duncan said he just wanted to see if Murray was going to slander him again. At about 1:10 P.M., Murray said she was going to re-schedule the meeting due to "bad weather."

  1. Why isn't it obvious to everyone that this woman has a vendeta towards the water dept. She is behind a lawsuit against the city, that she became mayor, for water coming up in her basement and others on Grandview. So she takes a power trip and fires everyone she feels was responsible. How can she represent the city but sue the city at the same time? And how is she creating jobs for citizens of Portsmouth? Pecks from Kentucky! -- She leads a recall against Baughman trying to get his council seat and loses. But yet she thinks council will listen to her demands and threats? I'm glad they are going to hang her out to dry over the funds for her remodeling. This sounds alot like her prior credit card fiasco. Spending money behind everyones backs. And don't get me started on her not listening to ODOTs recommendation about the traffic lights. More money down the drain! Because she doesn't want to listen to anybody. Hell, she threatened City Council with misdemeanors! I'm done ramblin' on. I guess my question is Mayor Murray do you realize that you will be recalled! thanx, a p-town underground fan.

  2. Now we find out the eye poking she has dealt the EPA is going to cost the city millions and millions of dollars to update the overflow system of the waste water treatment system.
Great job mayor, just great. you have shown everyone nothing matters but your personal agenda. Screw the city, screw the people of Portsmouth while still holding a $2,000,000 suit against the very people and city you are "supposed" to be supporting.
If I was on city council I would allow you to do NOTHING until the suit is dropped.
DO YOU HEAR THAT CITY COUNCIL??????? ....NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The woman certainly has major anger managment issues and truely believes she is of a supreme race. If you can find them, just ask anybody who has worked with her hieness how it went. People are judged by the company they keep and the friends they accumulate over life. Doesn't it seem odd that Ms. Murray has no personal friends. I think that speaks volumes.

  4. 1. Ms Mayor, do you have any plans to drop your lawsuit with the city you are now in charge of?

    2. Ms Mayor, I have not heard one good reason to put all those traffic lights back up. Can you explain, street by street, why the lights, against ODOT recommendations, are necessary.

    3. Ms Mayor, why is it a good idea to send our citizens tax dollars outside of the state?

    4. Ms Mayor, how much education does a person need to be on a traffic commity and are you sure you have the qualifications?

    5. Ms Mayor, what are your plans for bring jobs to our area to employ citizens of our town who have lived here not migrated from Ky?

  5. Your decision to put the people traveling the streets, that you are dictating to install replacement lights on, have been studied and proven to be dangerous to drivers. I guess that doesn't matter to you.... Again you show your arrogance and ignorance of recommendations by people that know what they are doing.

    QUOTE DOGFACE;

  7. I understand that she didn't want Rick Duncan at the meeting and even was willing to let Rich Noel call the Police to get him removed. Guess she rethought this. It was an open meeting. I thought her administration was supposed to be OPEN????

  8. Why would our Mayor threaten to have Rick Duncun arrested for simply showing up to her town hall meeting in Sciotoville? It should have just been called a "hall" meeting since everyone there could have fit inside a broom closet.(4) Madame Mayor was offended at the small turn out and immediatly cancelled as she flew out in a huff. Jane, everybody knows your a flaming idiot! Your massive overblown ego is constantly trying to write checks that your "educated" and "phoney" background can't cash. Give it up!

  9. I guess she didn't show up??
If I was on city council I wouldn't allow you cooperation with anything until your suit against Portsmouth is dropped.
CAN YOU HEAR THAT CITY COUNCIL? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Rick Duncan has every right to be at her "event", and honestly, if I were him, I would want to make sure she refrained from her desire to slander everyone. Go Rick!

  11. Isn't it great to have a mayor call a towm meeting and when someone she disagrees with shows up she wants him arrested. That's really a class act on her part. THEN when she figures out she can't do anything about it..... and no one cares about her meeting, she leaves blaming it on the weather......
I guess she forgot what meetings like that are for.... Listening to your constituents whether you like what they have to say or not.
Anyone that's concerned about Portsmouth, Ohio should ignore the dingbat until she drops the suit against Portsmouth, Ohio.
Nothing on her agenda should be passed by city council until she drops the suit.
No one should talk to the Mayor until she drops the suit.
The mayor should not be allowed to leave her home until she drops the suit.
She should be ashamed to show her face as long as she still has the suit against Portsmouth, Ohio whom she is supposed to be the Mayor of.
I hope that Peck guy understands he's never going to see much money AND he'll be gone in less than 6 months........ with a bill from the Ramada too...

  12. The least she can do is allow President of Council David Malone to pick out the colors of the paint and carpet to the Mayor's office!Has anyone considered that he may not like her taste?
